DiYWarranty only sells Exclusionary Coverage.
Vehicle Service Contracts (VSCs) are broken down into two categories: Stated Coverage and Exclusionary Coverage.
Stated Coverage VSCs say that if the part that fails is listed among those items stated in the contract, it’s covered. That’s simple enough, but it leaves a ton of loopholes in things that aren’t listed.
Exclusionary Coverage VSCs are considered the highest level of coverage because these VSCs cover everything on your vehicle except a small list of exclusions that are clearly detailed in the contract. There are literally thousands of things on a car that can go wrong. Exclusionary coverage is the superior coverage.
On the literature and sample contracts that follow, you’ll find reference to Silver/Executive and Gold/Elite coverages. These are stated coverage plans. For the record, we don’t offer them. We offer only Platinum/Premier Coverage as detailed.
5 Year Maintenance Plan included at no additional charge
When you purchase a Pinnacle VSC you’ll receive a 5 year Maintenance Plan with potential savings of up to $2500. These savings, (on items that need to be performed anyway), could greatly offset the total cost of your Service Contract.
The 5 Year Maintenance Plan saves you up to $50 on synthetic oil changes (25x), up to $100 on front and rear brakes (3x), up to $150 on new tire mounting and balancing (3x), up to $50 on a 4 wheel alignment (5x) and up to $40 on a transmission service (3x). In addition to many complimentary services, you’ll also receive up to 40% off on additional parts, services & repairs.
These services can be obtained at any Take 5, Pep Boys, Firestone, Monro, Mr. Tire, CarX, MountainView, Tire Choice or Tire Warehouse locations across the United States.
